Players Championship Tickets Now On Sale
Public sale of Players Championship tickets began at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, available only by visiting theplayers.com/tickets.
And get your fingers ready on the "refresh" button: based on how fast priority tickets were sold earlier this month, fans should move fast. Those tickets went within hours.
There will be a limited number of tickets available for the tournament, which is March 11-14 at the TPC Sawgrass Players Stadium Course. In addition, Tuesday will be the first day military ticket vouchers can be obtained for complimentary admission to practice days on March 9-10.
The Players is not releasing the exact amount of tickets available but said it will equal 20 percent capacity of previous years. That would put the number of fans on the property each day at a peak of around 7,000-8,000, based on past attendance figures.
The Tour last released attendance in 2013. The average was around 35,000 fans per day.
“We are looking forward to a great week of golf for a limited number of fans at The Players Championship,” executive director Jared Rice said in a statement. “Our team and organization have put a tremendous amount of thought, effort and creativity into producing a championship that will continue to engage our entire Northeast Florida community and generate charitable and economic impact."
All tickets will be mobile. Each guest will be allowed to purchase up to two tickets per day, per account, while supplies last.
Ticket prices will be $25 for practice rounds, $70 on Thursday and Sunday and $80 on Friday and Saturday. Parking passes will be purchased separately.
Hospitality options are detailed at The Players web site.
Up to two youth ages 15 and under will be admitted free with a ticketed adult for practice round days. Tickets must be purchased for youth on the competitive round days.
Complimentary admission will be provided to active duty, retired, reserve, and National Guard members, and one dependent, for the practice rounds, while supplies last. Valid identification and credentials are required. Veterans with valid identification can purchase discounted tickets for practice rounds while supplies last (limited to two tickets per veteran per day).
To receive and redeem vouchers for tickets on Tuesday and/or Wednesday (while supplies last), military members and veterans must follow these steps:
• Visit theplayers.com/tickets and go to the “Military” dropdown icon to access the verification system.
• Upon verification, a voucher will be issued for each day (March 9 and/or March 10).
• The voucher must be printed and redeemed at the off-site will call location at 13000 Sawgrass Village Circle, Building 1, Ponte Vedra Beach.
• Tickets for Thursday through Sunday must be purchased via the players.com/tickets.
Fans will be required to wear face coverings at all times during the tournament and maintain social distancing.
"As we have seen across the entire PGA Tour landscape, the health and safety of everyone involved will remain our top priority in 2021," Rice continued in his statement. "With that as a backdrop, we ask for our fans onsite to simply do their part to ensure a safe event for themselves and others in the community.”
